  • Alcohol and/or drug abuse/dependency

  • Character/personality disorders

About Our Campus:

  • Low student-to-staff ratio
  • On-site, licensed and accredited college preparatory high school with licensed teachers including those with special education certification
  • Expertly trained staff of more than 100 including a full-time child and adolescent psychiatrist, two psychologists, eleven registered nurses and ten master level therapists
Assessment Process
Peninsula Village carefully screens patients and reviews records from previous treatments. A team of psychiatrists, psychologists, primary care physicians, licensed clinical social workers, master's level therapists, recreation therapists, certified addiction specialists, teachers and other professionals evaluate each patient upon admission. These evaluations, combined with family interviews and observations of the patient by the staff, help create a comprehensive picture of the patient's condition.

Family Involvement in Treatment
Treatment success at Peninsula Village is greatly enhanced by close family involvement. Conducted by clinical social workers and other master's level counselors, family therapy typically occurs on a weekly basis. With many of our patients coming from geographically distant parts of the country, telephone therapy sessions are available when face-to-face family therapy is not possible for every session. Specialty family support groups and specialty groups in relapse prevention and eating disorders are also offered for families at no additional expense.
